MY SWEET
story
Baking, for me, has been more a part of who I am as opposed to something I do. Some of the earliest memories I can recall involve clearing cake batter from all of my mothers mixer attachments and bowls. Admittedly, battered mouths and sticky fingers took precedence to the more conventional sponges and brushes.
As luck would have it, my love for baking coincided with my mothers love for children, and I quickly found ready customers for my cakes and pastries in my 5 brothers. As my love for baking grew, I challenged myself further, and while I am ever learning and discovering, it is the memories of baking with my mother in her kitchen, the sound of her mixer and the taste of cake batter on sticky fingers that I hope to emulate.
